Q: Can I wear a veil with my women's tuxedo?

A: Absolutely. Veils paired with women’s pant suits were seen walking down the runways of bridal fashion week and we’re loving it. If your vision for your wedding day look is pretty traditional but dresses don’t fit your personal style, we highly recommend pairing a white women’s tuxedo with a traditional veil. There are many reasons to opt for a wedding pant suit over a dress: price, practicality, formality, etc. but that doesn’t mean you won’t look the part of a bride.

Here are some current wedding veil trends:

  • Hair pieces in place of traditional veils

If you’re looking to make a statement but are thinking a veil may be too much, statement hair pieces are trending for 2020 weddings. With a hair piece, you’ll have the option of wearing it for the ceremony and photos only, or keeping it on all night. The veil typically is taken off after the first dance at the wedding.

  • Veils with long trains

Do you remember Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding? How could you not, that mile long veil was incredible and definitely made a statement. Maybe her veil is a little too long for your big day, it needs to fit down your aisle of course! But, consider a veil that hits the floor and creates an airy and romantic flow as you enter your ceremony.

  • Veils with color

Floral details, sequins, embroidery, lace, and tinted tule will all be seen in wedding photos this year. If you’re going to keep your look pretty simple (white tuxedo, white heels, white camisole, etc.) this would be a fun place to add a pop of color! Make sure the colors you add match your wedding flowers and overall theme.
